STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Overview

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.

Registration: Professional Engineering registration is a must.

Experience: 10 plus years of relevant industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field work necessary to gather data, check drawings, and provide construction support.

  • Mentor Structural Engineers and facilitate a holistic understanding as to the scope and plan for projects.

  • Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution.

  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved.

  • Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges.

  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.

  • Produce detail design calculations, drawings, and sketches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.

  • Active PE License is a must.

  • Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards.

  • Project development and leadership skills are preferred.

  • Professional work experience in developing designs for proposed structures.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems.

  • Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.

  • Up to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures.
